WFW: Twice as Many Have’s

It’s Word Full Wednesday! Find a verse from the Bible that is speaking to you, place a fitting image with the verse on a blog post, link up with Internet Cafe and there you go. This is one of my favorite things each week because I find direction and peace when I read the entries.

I remember having a Job like season where death and sickness enveloped my life like a sopping wet blanket. Finding joy seemed impossible and it took my husband to show me how much there was to be grateful for. Knowing I was a list maker he created a list of all the things God had blessed us with, especially in that time.

If you’re struggling today take time out to do the same. You’ll find in your have not’s, you truly have twice as many have’s.

And that’s cause for praise and celebration!

Kaye Swain @ SandwichINK for the Sandwich Generation Issues

Hi Julie, Thanks for these sweet words of encouragement. I’m with your husband and what a good lesson to learn while you’re younger. As we, and our loved ones, get older, the natural course of life is often more and more life and death issues, with more seasons of pain, suffering and grief. But if we cling hard to God and His encouraging and comforting Bible verses, and remembering all that He has done for us and in us – we will be blessed and comforted and encouraged. Thanks for an inspirational Word-Filled Wednesday!

Thanks Kaye, you are so right. That was just a season of grief, I know as we age this will be a more common part of life for us. Grasping those blessings now was truly a gift my husband gave me through that verse. I’m so glad you stopped by, I didn’t link up til quite late!
