Julie Arduini’s Favorite Kindle Read from 2013 is…
I think I received my Kindle three years ago, and I wasn’t sure. I’m a die hard book reader. Well, I love my Kindle. I still have the basic model, and it serves me well. I still read “real books” but for those times I’m stuck in a waiting room, I can get a lot of Kindle reading done.
This category is a little different compared to my 2013 Fiction and Non picks of the year that I did earlier this week. My Kindle pick doesn’t necessarily mean it was published in 2013, but it was usually free read I picked up at the time and loved it.
I chose a fiction and non fiction Kindle read.
First, fiction.
Fugitive by Shirlee McCoy. This was published in 2013 and I’m not positive how I came across it–free or not– but I’m glad I did.

Now, my favorite non fiction Kindle read of the year.
Beyond Ordinary by Justin and Trisha Davis. At the time it was a free read and I was blown away by the transparency the two share in their marriage. It could be anyone’s story, but they are the two that had the courage to share their journey in hopes of helping others. I thought their experience shed light on what pride and insecurity can do. I’ve seen and lived it time and time again. There was so much going against this couple, but by the grace of God, they have a story to tell that is all about hope, healing, and forgiveness.
