Sabbath Sunday: Like God Likes You

Each Sunday I share my own amateur nature picture with a thought or two about God’s love for you.

Christmas Season is an easy time to share that thought.

God loves you.

But did you know, many struggle to believe God even likes them.

Because of injustice.

Ill health.

Unemployment.

Change and loss.

But in these things is something God can see around the bend.

If we choose, we’ll not just survive, but thrive.

I’m at a place where knowing God loves me is as natural as breathing.

But liking me?

Ah, there are days.

This picture reminds me of how much God likes me. So dazzling and brilliant this sunset was, it took my breath away.

I hope you like it.

Like God likes you.

Sabbath Sunday: The Silver Lining

Each Sunday I share an amateur nature picture of mine along with a thought or two regarding God’s love for you.

God is for you. He is specific. He is a romancer. He will go to great lengths to get your attention.

Why?

Because He loves you.

This season has been full of change and frustration. The sky was full of gray, like my life felt.

Then I saw the lining.

And just as God would, He created it in the shape of the heart.

For me.

And you.

Stop and look for His love message for you.

Sabbath Sunday: Full of Fog with Glimpses of Beauty

Each Sunday I post my own amateur nature picture with a thought or two about God’s love for you.

This isn’t the best picture, but it’s a typical fall morning.

Full of fog with glimpses of beauty.

Is that where you are today? Can’t figure out the literal season you are in–unable to even take two steps forward because it is so murky?

Been there.

As confusing as it is, there are glimpses of beauty in the fog. They aren’t the answers, but to me, signposts. Little encouragements you haven’t been forgotten. You’re on the right track. Keep up those baby steps, the clearing will come.

What beauty are you missing that is your signpost? A chubby, sticky toddler finger grasping yours? A beautiful pumpkin and mum spread as you walk by? The aroma of an apple pie from a loved one’s kitchen?

God’s little love nudges are so simple I know I miss many of them.

I hope you find some beauty in the fog today.

Sabbath Sunday: Just like the Roses

Each Sunday I share my own amateur nature(ish) picture and a thought or two about God’s love for you.

This picture exudes promise to me. In a matter of time these buds will open into vibrant, full blossom.

They steal the show not only where they are planted, but also where they are moved.

The hands that care for them are tender and concerned about their welfare.

The fragrance of a rose is desired and remembered, long after their blossom fades.

Know who else carries these beautiful qualities?

YOU.

Want proof? Read the ultimate love story not as much about the beauty between husband and wife, but about Christ’s love for you.

Where do you find it?

In the Bible. Table of Contents: Song of Solomon.
