FREE Novella Available

Posted by Julie on March 2, 2017 in About Me, encouragement, God's Word, Julie Arduini, Life Lessons, surrender, Writing |

Remember when I said things were pretty busy behind the scenes?

  • I told you about my interview with Blog Talk Radio host Patti Shene and her show, Step Into the Light.

  • I announced a new release, FINDING FREEDOM THROUGH SURRENDER-A 30 Day Devotional.

MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN was something I included as a thank you to newsletter subscribers who signed up. It’s a contemporary romance about surrendering relationships. What I love about it is it was the first romance I wrote after becoming a Christian. I re worked it a couple years ago and hopefully you will enjoy it. I also am excited because it features the Finger Lakes area, the beautiful region where I grew up in Upstate NY.

How do you access it? Visit the right sidebar of my site (if you are receiving this via email) and it should be right there to click and download. If you have trouble, send me an email at juliearduini@juliearduini.com, or find me across social media @JulieArduini.

I have one more announcement coming this week, so stay tuned!

Crumbs and Embers Now Available

Posted by Julie on February 6, 2015 in About Me, Julie Arduini, Life Lessons, surrender |

Last year I offered monthly installments of Match Made in Heaven, a contemporary romance based in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. It was my way of thanking newsletter subscribers for joining me on the journey. It was a fun novella and well received.DSCN0729

When I asked what readers wanted this year, they asked for a sequel. Earlier this week I unveiled the first installment of Crumbs and Embers, the follow-up to Match Made in Heaven.

Although Crumbs and Embers can stand alone, new subscribers receive Match Made in Heaven as my thanks for signing up, and all subscribers receive the monthly installments of Crumbs and Embers.

Wendy Bass is the Hammondsport Senior Complex director and she’s good at what she does. She’s organized and looking out for the seniors and their future. When a curve ball comes, it leaves her reeling.

Derek Spencer arrives in Hammondsport with his work cut out for him. He’s ready to make changes when he sees something familiar in Wendy’s reaction to his presence. He wants to reach out, but to do so, he’s got to share his past. And that’s something he vowed to keep hidden.

Can Wendy let go of her control and allow Derek in? Will Derek push past his skeletons to show Wendy a path to freedom?

Curious? I’d love for you to read more. To receive Crumbs and Embers, subscribe for free to my newsletter by completing the form in the left sidebar of my website. Make sure you watch for activation in your inbox and all folders.

If you’ve read the first installment, what did you think?

Crumbs and Embers is on Pinterest, as is all my writing. Check everything out here.

Free Gift for You: Crumbs and Embers

Posted by Julie on January 13, 2015 in About Me, encouragement, God's Word, Julie Arduini, Life Lessons, surrender, Writing |

I not only write, I read a lot. Last year I spent a lot of time researching blogs and reading up on marketing.

The names to follow—the Michael Hyatt, Jeff Goins—say the same thing: growing an email list is the wisest marketing move to make.

If Jeff Zuckerberg decides to shut Facebook down tomorrow or make it so limited I’m not eligible, I’m out a lot of people. Worst case scenario, I know. But I’d rather try to reach these friends now and have them choose to also subscribe to my newsletter so no matter what happens in social media, I can still connect.

The Finger Lakes region, where both Match Made in Heaven and Crumbs and Embers are set.

Last year I wanted to thank my faithful subscribers for following this unpublished author by sending them something no one else had. They received monthly installments of what is now the novella, Match Made in Heaven. Readers were drawn into Dean and Beth’s world as they healed from hurts and learned to trust God. Subscribers also got a glimpse of another Upstate NY feature, the Finger Lakes. I love sharing the area where I grew up.

I asked what they would like in 2015 as a thanks and they responded with another romance, a sequel of sorts. Wendy Bass gets to tell her story in Crumbs and Embers, another Finger Lakes Upstate NY romance. As director of the Hammondsport senior complex, she appears in control. But when she received unexpected news, her secret unravels and fire commissioner Derek Spencer knows. Will he spill her secret or keep quiet in hopes of protecting his own skeletons?

For new subscribers, you get the full novella of Match Made in Heaven. For all subscribers, Crumbs and Embers will start to come to your mailbox in February. Count on monthly (or so) installments along with writing updates and book news.

How do you subscribe? Easy. Complete the form in the right sidebar of http://juliearduini.com and watch for activation. Sometimes those emails go to spam, so check your folder and look for something from Julie Arduini/MailChimp.

What else?

Would you tell others? I’d love to share this gift with as many people as possible.

Happy subscribing and reading!

Oh, and if you’d like a visual on Crumbs and Embers, check out my Pinterest board.

And There, There, and There You’ll Find Me and My Writing

Posted by Julie on April 11, 2014 in About Me, Christians Read, encouragement, Julie Arduini, surrender, Writing |

I love to chat. Food. Current Events. Sports. What Jimmy Fallon did last night on The Tonight Show. What God’s showing me.

But sometimes I have to bring up discussion that’s more business related. I struggled with that for a long time but realized if I don’t talk about my writing and where to find it, there isn’t an opportunity to share resources God has for you to live free in Christ.

So that’s a talk I need to bring to you today. A bit of writing stuff is going on, and I want to let you know about it. If you want to tell others, I’d love that.

  • Match Made in Heaven. It’s not too late to join other Julie Arduini newsletter subscribers as they follow Beth Prescott and Dean Kellerman in Match Made in Heaven. It’s my contemporary romance that offers surrender issues, chocolate, and the Finger Lakes setting of Hammondsport, NY. The April issue offers archive links to previous installments as well as the current one. Subscribe for free in the right sidebar at juliearduini.com and watch your inbox for activation.

  • Rose Blooms. This short story is one you can vote on, and I hope you do. My plan is to expand it this November as part of NaNoWriMo and write a rough draft as part of a new Finger Lakes contemporary romance series. Read and vote here.

  • To Write a Story. Valerie Comer was kind enough to let me stop by and share my plotting resources. If you wonder what goes on with fiction creation, read my process here.

  • Jasmine’s Place. Have you discovered the beautiful thing that is Jasmine’s Place? It’s an e-zine for women filled with articles and interviews on family, beauty, fashion, faith, cooking, and more. The publishers have been so kind to allow me to participate with each issue. I’ve been interviewed, wrote articles, shared short stories, and created blurbs. This is an international project and one I’m very proud to work with.

  • Christians Read. Did you know I blog every other Wednesday with Vicki Hinze, Kathi Macias, Sarah Goebel, James Rubart, Hannah Alexander, Maureen Lang, Beth Goddard, Tara Randel, Lynette Sowell, Yvonne Lehman, Kristen Heitzmann? Now Christians Read has a website, and I hope you bookmark it. You can read my posts, too.

  • Coming Soon. A couple years or so ago, a few of my FaithWriter challenge entries placed and were eligible to be part of the FaithWriter anthologies. The anthologies are taking shape so I’ll keep you updated. I’m also working with a group of authors on a project that will encourage a segment of women who could use the support. I should have news on that  front, too. Stay tuned!

Match Made in Heaven Releases Tomorrow

Posted by Julie on February 13, 2014 in About Me, encouragement, Julie Arduini, Life Lessons, surrender, Writing |

I love giving.

Valentine’s Day is a little unusual for me this year, but I don’t want that to stop me.

So, I’m releasing the first installment of my contemporary romance, Match Made in Heaven, to Julie Arduini newsletter subscribers only, tomorrow.

For those of you on email, that means Valentine’s Day/Friday.

DSCN0729This is a story I first penned in 1993 as a single woman just out of college. I’ve learned a lot about writing and life since then, so I picked it up and decided to re write it with no intention to publish it beyond my newsletter.

Beth Prescott didn’t know part of her new job working with senior citizens was fending off all the matchmaking attempts with the grandsons. She’s focused on her work and moving past a bad breakup.

Dean Kellerman moves to the Hammondsport area to help his grandfather and forget the mistakes he’s made. He runs into Beth and the two share a common goal of assisting Walt Kellerman.

As the two work together, can they overcome their secrets and failures to find romance?

If you enjoy contemporary romance, the Finger Lakes wine country of Upstate NY, flawed characters, and chocolate, I believe you’ll like Match Made in Heaven.

You can subscribe to my newsletter by filling out the info on the right sidebar at juliearduini.com. Watch for the confirmation email from Julie Arduini/MailChimp, because it won’t activate without it. If you already subscribe, you should be all set. If you have any problems, drop me a line at juliearduini@juliearduini.com.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
