Embracing the Geek that is Me

When I met my husband I knew there was this new way of communicating on the computer called e-mail, but didn’t know how to even use it. My skills were basic, and marrying a computer programmer has been an education. True story, when he met his family, my sister and me for a camping trip where he planned to ask me to be his girlfriend, he had a computer disk in his shirt pocket.

Yea, we teased tease him.

But now, the geek is me.

When I knew God was asking me to blog, I wanted to learn. The further I went into it, the busier my husband got with his own work, so anything out there with juliearduini.com was my own.

Including this.

I try to read up to learn what’s new or up and coming. I can write the most brilliant prose but if I don’t know the best ways to get that out there, then I’m wasting my time.

I’ve been seeing the QR code popping up everywhere, and being the Android fan that I am, I love scanning those codes and seeing where it takes me. So far, safe cyberspaces.

So, I created a QR code for readers.

I suspect most aren’t reading my site with a mobile phone, but if so, I’m ready for you.

Scan the image and for now, it’s going to take you to my Facebook Writing page in hopes you subscribe. I’d love to make the codes customized, for instance, when I participate in a meme or a book review that it would show you the host/author site. But baby steps, starting now.

What are you doing to stay in the now?
