Blessing Birds (a Christian Comedy Romance) is the fourth book in my Early Birds series. The Stevenson’s, Wilford’s and Miller’s continuing to do what they do best – helping humanity and having fun while getting it done. This time though, helping their fellow man takes on a whole new meaning.

The Early Birds leave Florida and are on the road again. Their plans are to visit as much of the East Coast as possible during the summer months. As with other trips, their forward motion is hindered, and they haven’t crossed the Georgia line.
Most people would call their delay a Random Act of Kindness, but when you’re dealing with the Early Birds, they come up with their own name for helping humanity. “We’re Haphazardly Handing Out Hospitality. Wherever a need arises.”
It shouldn’t surprise anyone, helping others occurs in the strangest places: A busy street corner, a laundry room, and even a public restroom in Washington, DC. As Rose says, “The Early Birds are spreading small snippets of God’s love everywhere we go.”
As with the other books in the Early Birds series, this one will tickle your funny bone too. Climb on – it’s sure to be a ride you won’t soon forget. You never know where the trip with the Early Birds will take you, while they’re lending a helping hand.
I had a blast writing Blessing Birds, but three quarters of the way through – I wanted to throw my manuscript into the fire and never write again. The ending eluded me and no amount of brainstorming, or time away from my computer, brought the story in for what I wanted – the perfect landing.
But, as always, the Lord had it all figured out. When I stopped trying to write in my own energy and actually listened to Him, the ending came to me and I typed THE END. “Glory Hallelujah and pass the turtle soup.” Once again, I found out I cannot do anything without the Lord by my side.
