Help! My Adirondack Picture Needs Your Vote
I need your help! A couple weeks ago I submitted a couple Adirondack summer pictures for a contest hosted by Charlie Johns, the actual store I based the store, JB’s, on in my story, Spectacular Falls. There weren’t rules, so I figured they would just look them over and pick a winner.
They picked one of mine as a finalist, and now I’m mortified. My picture is 12 years old and although I love taking actual nature pictures, this one they chose isn’t one of them. It’s my then-toddler, now teen on a beach in Speculator, the real village I based Spectacular Falls on. The winner is the one that gets the most votes. That means I’ve got to market this and get as many people to vote as possible.
What I love beyond all these connections to my story is that if I won, it’s a return trip to the very area I’m still using for my writing. It would be a great research trip, as well as one of my favorite places to go.
Would you please DAILY vote for the picture? It’s the one with the little boy on the beach in Speculator. It’s a dated picture, and like I said, I’m mortified as it is not my usual picture taking. This one was sentimental for me. All the pictures are gorgeous.
