Ultimate Blog Party 2013: Meet an Uncoordinated Mom With Chocolate Peanut Butter Eggs–Kind Of
Welcome!
Don’t worry about taking your shoes off for my sake, I’m the one who ends up tripping and causing stains on the carpet.
Want to know something else?
I broke my wrist less than one hour after school got out for the summer last year.
I’m not very coordinated.
Oh, but I love to talk with and encourage ladies.
Here, have some of my chocolate peanut butter eggs, I bet you don’t care that it isn’t Easter anymore. This kind of chocolate fits anytime.
I’m known around cyberspace as the writer who can’t quite surrender the chocolate.
And that’s okay.
You can find me here blogging about my confessions, and girl, I get real.
But I’m also positive.
Positive that God’s got everything under control.
Even when everything seems to be falling apart.
I also blog every other Wednesday at Christians Read. If you enjoy hearing from your favorite Christian authors like Vicki Hinze, James L. Rubart, Kathi Macias, Maureen Lang, Hannah Alexander, Sarah Goebel, Elizabeth Goddard, Yvonne Lehman, Lynette Sowell, and Kristen Heitzmann, you must, must, must visit us.
When I’m not blogging I’m editing away on my contemporary romance based in the Adirondack Mountains. I’m also a Mentor Mom with my local chapter of Mothers of Preschoolers, MOPS. I also facilitate a local chapter of women gathering to connect, encourage, and inspire through the Greater Youngstown Praise and Coffee. If you desire to develop friendships with other women, check and see if a chapter meets near you. If not, do what I did and start one!
Home life? I have a husband, a teen son, and a third grade daughter. I’m a step-mom to two grown children who live out of state, and last year I became a step-mother-in-law. I have a blessed life. We live in Ohio, but most of my years were spent in Upstate New York. Corning to be exact, the place where your dishes probably came from. 🙂
What else? I love mentoring. I accomplish this through Bible studies and teaching. As you can tell, I have a heart for women to live free. I believe surrender is key, and that it has to start with me.
So with a chocolate peanut butter egg in hand, I invite you to join me.
I’m surrendering the good, the bad, and—maybe one day—the chocolate.
Check out my links to find me across social media. I can’t wait to connect with you!

Love you, too! Have a great weekend, Rita!
I still need to write my post, but right now I am in the middle of reading a book for a review! Have a great weekend!
Hey hey hey Julie – So fun to find you here as well! And I loved learning a bit more about you! Congrats on that book – you’re way ahead of me. And, as always, I’m so blessed to be reminded of another, like me, who has learned the joys of full surrender! As the old ad used to say – “It’s the ONLY way to fly!” 🙂 Have a blessed and beautiful week – full of chocolates! In fact, here’s one of my faves – a Lindt Lindor Dark Chocolate truffle – yummmmmmmmmmm 🙂 🙂 🙂
Visiting from UBP13. Greetings!
Hi Julie, visiting from UBP. I never had chocolate peanut butter eggs before. I wrote my first novel, and I was very surprised to find out that the editing part took me longer than writing the book… well it felt like it. Glad to visit and to meet you.
You too! Thank you for stopping by!
Kaye! You’ve been on my mind so much as we’ve dealt with aging parents and loss in the last few months. I’m so glad you’re part of the party, I’m going to visit your post and pass you some chocolate!
Thank you, Elizabeth! I appreciate you stopping by!
Hello! I agree, editing is very time-consuming. Thank you for stopping by, have a great week!
Hi Julie – I haven’t broken any bones but I do trip on flip flops so I can relate to that graceful feeling too. You had me at peanut butter eggs. Enjoy your weekend!
I’m so glad you stopped by. I can trip on flip flops, too. You have a great weekend, too!
