My 2013 Word of the Year
My 2013 Word of the Year
Each fall I seek the Lord for a word or phrase to embrace for the coming year. This year’s word came pretty early and has been confirmed many times before the calendar page even turned.
Abundance.
With that word often comes joy, but I feel I’m supposed to focus on abundance. Honestly, I don’t have an interpretation for that. I know my heart struggles in even in lack, I live in abundance. I see His abundance. I want to operate out of the flow of His abundance.
So it will be interesting to see how this word weaves throughout my life as a wife, mom, writer, speaker, and whatever else God opens for me.
Mary DeMuth wrote an inspiring post about the word of the year. I’m a visual gal, so I wanted in.
I think you should join in. These are my own amateur nature pictures, but Mary gives great resources for free pictures if you need them.
I hope the first few days of 2013 have been full of abundance for you!

Hi Julie, I’m going with the Fruit of the Spirit with a different fruit each month, starting with Peace for January (we all need that right now, don’t we?), Love for February 🙂 , and on and on. Have a blessed and beautiful year full of His abundant love and provision!
