Speaking from the Heart—The Genuine Blogger Award

On Sunday I was blessed to share a post over at Longings End with Michael and Sheila Kimball. I thought that was a great way to start the week, but the nice feeling keeps going. I also learned they have extended the Genuine Blogger award to this blog as well.

Michael and Sheila did a great job explaining what the award means to them, and I agree:

Like it isWithout a maskReal…that’s how we try to write at Longings End…honestly, from our hearts.

Thanks to Longings End for giving this blog the award!

This blog is in good company as Michael and Sheila passed the award onto others. Take some time and visit the other blogs designated as Genuine Bloggers:

What inspires and empowers me is authenticity. I speak from the heart because I want to encourage others. If anyone can relate to my experience, I’m happy to go there. I believe all mountains and valleys in my life have purpose, so when God asks, I’m happy to share.

Speaking of share, I want to pass this award on to those I find transparent, authentic, life-giving and simply loving. Please visit them and encourage them today.

Julie, thanks for this award.  And thank you for being a faithful online friend of mine for these last few years.  I think the only way to write and to encourage others is to speak of your life experiences, and how God is in every little detail; THAT speaks volumes!  Thank you for doing that.  Thanks for being obedient.  Blessings to you, my friend!  Your sister in Christ, Lori

Awwww, thanks so much, Julie!  I find it hard sometimes to be genuine and “transparent”. I harbor a deep fear of  “Oh, but if I share that, what will they think?”  I’m working on it, though. and the blessings are abundant. Love you!
