Sabbath Sunday: The Inventor of Tulips

Each Sunday I share an amateur photo of my own along with a thought or two on God’s love for you. Can you believe it’s May?

April where I lived was one if not the rainiest Aprils on record. I mowed the lawn and the entire time I heard oozing of water as if I was trying to mow the Everglades.  It was hard day after day to see no change in the scenery, the forecast. It reminded me of a time in the Bible when 400 years passed before God spoke through one of His prophets. I get edgy after three days of bleakness. I can’t fathom 400 years.

I wish the picture were bigger but a couple years ago I visited our local gardens and it had been rainy earlier in the day. Things were damp, worms were out and my feet were sinking in the wet. Then I saw it.

Rows and rows of tulips.

Color.

Life.

A different forecast.

A new landscape.

Improved scenery.

Whatever your bleak situation today, it won’t last forever even though it seems that way. God allows the rain to bring the color and new life. He doesn’t want YOU to be the same old bleak forecast so embrace the Creator of storms because…

He’s also the Inventor of Tulips.
