Book Review: High-Stakes Holiday Reunion by Christy Barritt

9780373445639-1-189x300

High-Stakes Holiday Reunion starts with a bang and doesn’t let up until the last page. Ashley is a strong heroine desperate to find her family after a kidnapping. Christopher is the only one she feels capable to help, but he’s her ex-fiancee. What makes him capable is his military background. What broke their engagement? His commitment to the military.

That’s enough conflict to keep me turning the pages but there is so much more to the story. Christopher learns the child Ashley is out to rescue isn’t her nephew, it’s her son. Their son. And Ashley’s brother may or may not be behind everything.

There’s the romance aspect, too. Those sparks they had years ago? They never went away. But Ashley never forgot her devastation when he broke the engagement. And Christopher never stopped caring.

Throw all this together and you have an action packed, you think you know what’s coming, but you really don’t page turner. It’s sweet, but fast paced and without pause. It’s romantic suspense at its best.

There’s more that I want to say, but if I go further, I’ll give spoilers. But take my word, if you enjoy a story that leaves you breathless from action and romance, High-Stakes Holiday Reunion is the book for you. Consider it a great Christmas gift for others, too!

Book Description:
