Product Review: Commercial Silk, Artificial Plants

I’m used to doing book or CD reviews, but it’s new to hear from a company outside of that realm. A few weeks ago I was asked if I was interested in reviewing a product from Commercial Silk, a product from their artificial plants. I chose a product and it arrived faster than I expected.

I chose the hanging basket geranium, red.

Can I be honest?
I’m not a silk flower fan. I think over the years what I’ve seen families do is take dollar store flowers and plant them, trying to pass them off as the real thing. It was easy to tell. Then, colors would fade, and it was even more obvious. It looked like an eyesore.

This hanging basket looked real coming out of the box. It is made so that it is protected from the UV rays. The color is vibrant, and it was fuller than I expected. For a silk flower, it looks real and beautiful to me.

I hung it outside to get a picture and the red geranium just pops against the background.

Bottom line? I’m really impressed!

This hanging basket made me a believer. Silk flowers can be used and not look fake. I’m really glad that I gave it a chance.
