Farewell Four Waters gives a great glimpse of life as an aid worker in Afghanistan. Marie learns how quickly everything can change when just as her plans are ready to unfold, she hears of a shooting on a street she knows well. That changes everything and I think the author did a great job walking the reader through the journey. I felt like I was there, unsure of who to trust and how to move forward.
I definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in serving overseas or learning about life in Afghanistan.
