Book Review: A Devotional Journey Through Judges by Laura Krokos
I believe it was the 2013 5 Minutes For Mom Ultimate Blog Party where I first came across the site Missional Women. They offer so much that I signed up to receive their weekly updates. That arrives in my inbox each Friday, and I save it because it is one of the few emails I savor.
In one of the updates I read about The Devotional Journey Through Judges. It was available as a download and I thought it was a great topic. I’m so glad I downloaded it. Beyond being Biblical, it’s easy to read and full of examples from the author’s life that really drove the topic home each day. It’s easy to feel intimidated by Bible studies, but I wasn’t at all by this one. At the same time, it’s not so simple I lost interest. Quite the opposite. I looked forward to my reading each day.
Book Description:
Practical, insightful and relatable 250 page in depth devotional study with great personal stories. Each day is short enough to be able to read and have time to process the personal application questions. It can be used in conjunction with the discussion guide (at www.TheBookofJudges.com) or as a stand alone devotional.
I hope you not only give The Devotional Journey Through Judges a try, I encourage you to subscribe to Missional Women. This ministry/site has really increased my time with God through all their resources. I can’t recommend enough!
