Happy Easter: Just as He Said
From my Facebook status on Good Friday:
I have a pet peeve, perhaps a passion. I disagree when people say I’m a religious person. I do believe in the Bible as God’s inspired word, and it is important to me. My faith is more than that. Rules weren’t nailed to a cross. Blood was shed. A sacrifice was made. An eternal relationship and prophecy fulfilled died on that cross, and was raised three days later. Rules have their place, and I live free not only because of them, but because of Him. If you want to know more of the One still revered, mocked, cursed, respected and followed I dare you to read a chapter from the Book of John (not 1 John) each day for 30 days. See what you find at the end of the month. I tell you this, I did not find religion.
