Thankful: Two Short Posts Long on Thankfulness
I’m thankful to have two thankful posts to share with you today. First up, Glenn.
Hi my name is Glenn and I live in Christchurch, New Zealand – is this important? In light of my story, yes. On Thursday the 22nd of September I got wind of a prophesy, declaring that on the 28th of September an earthquake would strike out in the ocean and send a tsunami through the city killing many.
Now how is this going to translate into thanks giving?
Before I knew about this prophesy I had booked a ticket that would take me out to Geraldine. My return ticket was set for 27th. I was faced here with a choice. Do I just stay in Geraldine and cancel my ticket or trust God with my life.
I am thankful for the 28th September prophesy in that I was tested.
I came to the conclusion that if I am to be taken by my Lord on the 28th. I will die no matter where in the world I am, so I did not change the ticket and returned to Christchurch on the 27th.
The prophecy did not come to pass.

I love when kids share their thankful thoughts.
- I’m thankful for good friends.
- I’m glad we go to a church where we have BGMC. (Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge).
Thanks Glenn, for sharing your thoughts. What a powerful testimony. Also thankful for my mini-me, who was able to give her thankful thoughts without hesitation!
