Sabbath Sunday: No Matter the Waves

Julie’s note: My 9/11 memorial post is yesterday’s post. I hope you read it and remember with me.

Ah, Sunday. While I worship with my church family and fellowship with God as well as rest and hang out with my family, I also share an amateur nature picture here that shares a thought about God’s love for you. This is one of my favorite weekly bloggy things to do and judging by the hits these posts receive, I believe you enjoy them, too.

Is this picture not symbolic of life? Rough waves, then smooth. Easy days, devastating crises. Mountains and valleys. I’ve had my share of them, how about you, especially on this solemn anniversary?

What I’m learning is no matter what kind of waters I’m surrounded by, can I remain the same? Does my happy mood go south when someone says something I don’t like? Does the contentment I feel first thing in the morning disappear when an unexpected bill arrives?

I want to remain steady in Christ no matter the waters but only He can give that peace. Strength. Provision. Wisdom. Grace.

Let’s start our week reaching out for Him. Praying no matter what your waves, that you have a blessed week.
