WFW: Faltering Lips
It’s Word Full Wednesday—your chance to add a blog post full of Scripture glorifying God and linking up with the Internet Cafe.
Exodus 6:30 says: “Since I speak with faltering lips why would Pharaoh listen to me?” If you aren’t familiar with the story, Moses has been chosen by God to lead the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt. When he learns about this it’s safe to say he doesn’t grab the staff and goes on his way without reservation. In fact, he gives God facts to remind God why he isn’t the best man for the job.
The biggest reason? He stutters and feels he wouldn’t make a great leader.
I might not have faltering lips but I have a faltering everything else. A tongue that goes wagging without going to God first. A narrow vision that sees a glimpse and announces a full verdict without being asked to judge. A pointy finger that believes the rest of the body knows all when in fact, I know so little.
Yet, God. God doesn’t call the equipped, He equips the called.
God called Moses.
And if you have breath, you have purpose.
In Jesus’ name, God calls you.
Will you answer?
SISTER! We used the SAME words today…He DOES equip the called…ANOTHER EXAMPLE in Moses! I LOVE this! What a testimony to who our GOD is…He uses whatever HE chooses, equipped or not. This was wonderful!
Peace girl!

I love the them that seems to be happening today. Maybe we all needed to be reminded that it is HIM that calls us… and that He doesn’t always choose those that we would deem to be “well equipt”.
Oh, how sweet it is to relax into the truth that HIS strength is made perfect in our weakness”.
Thank you for pouring,

I agree, God had a great reminder for all of us. May we walk in that equipping only He can give! Thank you for reading!
I will never stop being in awe of His ways. He definitely had that reminder for all of us today! THanks for being here today!
Thank you, Cathy! Blessings to you.
That’s true. God equipped us to be called, when I was baptized and accepted Jesus as my personal Lord and savior I knew then that God called me. Thanks for sharing this I was enlightened actually. God Bless you more!
God made us to do his works here on earth, we are called to be like him, we are called to proclaim his word all over the world and to the ends of the earth. Great WFW Julie, I appreciate it very much.
All people here on earth are called by God to be more like his image. All God wants is to live a holy life which is pleasing and acceptable to him.
