Stuck in the Middle with No Plan B

Posted by Julie on June 7, 2017 in About Me, Guest blogger, Julie Arduini, Life Lessons, Writing |

Hi, everyone!

I’m offering a short post to let you know I have two guest posts today that I believe you would enjoy.

When There’s No Plan B is my guest post over at Chirp and Chatter with Delia Latham.

Her site if offering a giveaway regarding her summer promotion, so make sure you read all about that, too!

It’s also my rotation at Inspy Romance, and this picture intrigues me every time I see it. Those animals are swimming in that gunk and it just gets me. I used that picture to talk about the writing process and the middle. I sure do struggle with that!

Remember, to celebrate ENGAGED releasing the 26th, I am giving newsletter subscribers a FREE e-Read of Book 1, ENTANGLED!

Join Me at Inspy Romance

Posted by Julie on April 9, 2017 in About Me, encouragement, God's Word, Julie Arduini, Life Lessons, Writing |

I’ve often said that I’m a reader and then a writer. When I critique manuscripts, it isn’t as an editor that I go through chapters. I look as a reader. I’m such a fan of books.

As an author, I read a lot of blogs to learn more about the craft. One of my favorite blogs has been Inspy Romance. It’s a blog from Christian authors talking about writing, and their passion is to connect with readers. They write in a style that makes me feel like we’re sitting around a table enjoying a cup of coffee.

And secretly, I wished I could be a part of that team.

I never uttered it because it seemed too lofty. As it is, I write every other Wednesday for Christians Read, and that blog includes some of my favorite Christian authors of all time. I have devoured their books. I do not feel like I’m on the same playing field, let alone same sport. So to want to be part of another great blog? I felt silly.

Yet I felt this year would be about transformation, my word for the year. That new opportunities would blossom out of nowhere. That for the prayers and spiritual battles we’ve stayed obedient with, there would be a new level of faith and favor in our lives. Not a “we get stuff” mentality, but that we would be and feel blessed. It’s hard to explain.

But Inspy Romance came calling.

If you aren’t familiar with this blog, they are focused on readers. They host frequent giveaways. They talk about how their stories came to be. Cover design. Funny stories. And so much more.

My first post is Tuesday, April 11 and I will introduce myself and have a giveaway. I hope you not only read my post, but subscribe to the blog. If you love reading Christian romance, you will enjoy the blog.

Happy Reading!

Entrusted Chosen as one of the “Top Picks in Romantic Reads for 2014”

Posted by Julie on December 24, 2014 in About Me, Book Review, encouragement, Julie Arduini, Life Lessons, surrender |

Entrusted FRONT Cover_edited This is the little book that could. Years ago when I walked around the real Speculator I envisioned writing out a story and handing it off to friends via my word processor. Yep, it was a long time ago. I didn’t think about publishing or becoming an author. The fear of rejection was too great.

Fast forward and God’s done a great work in my life where with great faith, I’m able to hold on to the hem of His robe and go as He leads. Entrusted is out and the masses are able to read it. Not everyone’s going to love it, and thank God, my tender heart gets that. I have one not glowing review and I survived reading it. The book isn’t for everyone.

But when unexpected praise for the book comes, it feels good. Imagine my surprise when I learned Entrusted made Elizabeth Maddrey’s list at Inspy Romance as one of her top romantic picks for 2014. I’m a voracious reader and I’ve read most of the books on her list. I love the books she listed. So for Entrusted to be included when I didn’t have to pay her for it, what an early Christmas present!

I’d love for you to read her post and give her a kind comment.

Also, Goodreads is having a Swoony Contest for favorite romantic read of 2014. I need three nominations for Entrusted to officially make the ballot. If you loved Entrusted, would you nominate, vote and spread the word for it?

I know today is a busy day but in the coming days, if you’ve read Entrusted and enjoyed it, would you add your review? It truly does drive or hurt business, depending on the review. I’d love to see God has in store for 2015 by putting Entrusted into a lot of romance reader hands.

Merry Christmas!
