Book Review: Olive and the Great Flood by Connie Arnold
There are a few authors that when I hear from them and they ask if I’d be willing to do a review, it’s a no brainer. Author and poet Connie Arnold is one of them.
Connie’s new release, Olive and The Great Flood, is a children’s book about Noah’s Ark.
A Note from Connie:
Also, I will be giving away two prizes randomly chosen from those commenting during the tour – a copy of my first children’s book, Animal Sound Mix-up, and a gold dove wind chime.
Book Description:
Olive is a gentle, friendly dove who wants to help her friends Noah, his family and the other animals with her on the ark. She tries to soothe them during the rain and has an important assignment, to discover when it’s safe to venture from the ark after the flood. Suggested age range for readers: 4-8
This was such a fun read and a fresh way of telling a classic Bible story. Olive is a dove who helps Noah and the other animals with the ark experience. She comforts them when the rains start, and then learns she’s needed for an important job once the rains stop.
This is age appropriate reading with clever rhyming and a wonderful, Biblical message. The illustrations are top-notch. Whether your child is well-versed in the Bible or curious, I recommend Olive and the Great Flood to all.
I received Olive and the Great Flood in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you for the wonderful review, Julie! I appreciate you being a valuable part of my tour for Olive and the Great Flood.
I want to know what the important job is after the flood 🙂 Thanks for grabbing my attention Julie!
My pleasure. It really was a great read.
Thanks for asking, Connie!
Thanks for reading the review and your question. Olive had the important job of keeping the animals calm. That was a big job with so many animals!
Olive’s important job after the flood was to fly out and discover when there was dry land so Noah, his family and the animals could safely leave the ark. Thanks for asking, JoAnne. Olive loves being noticed!
