This book got me at page one and never let go. Jerusha is an amazing story teller, able to start with a bang and thrust the heroine into danger and conflict that raises the ante with each chapter. Charlotte’s wounded so she has no idea who to trust. And as she meets people who long to bring her into their world she’s looking for Tommy, waiting for him to pounce.
I realized as I read I was stressing for Charlotte. I was so wrapped into the story I had to remind myself this was fiction, she wasn’t in danger. That I needed to stop telling her to trust Oriana and those who wanted to get to know Charlotte. That’s a mark of a great story, when you forget it’s a story. It sounds cliche but everything around me stopped as I read. It really was an exhilarating ride full of suspense and hope.
I highly recommend This Redeemer. It’s Book 3 in the Sisters Redeemed series. I suggest you read the others, but This Redeemer can stand alone.
