The Greatest Sacrifice by BJ Bassett

Julie’s Note:

I’m excited to share BJ Bassett’s newest release. The Greatest Sacrifice. BJ is in the same critique group as I am and I watched this evolve from an idea to a draft to a completed manuscript. I watched BJ send out to publishers in hopes they would believe in her story. When one did, like all authors, she had to submit her “baby” knowing an editor’s job is to read with one eye on having the best story and the other eye on knowing what readers are looking for.

BJ worked super, super hard and here it is, ready for pre-order. This is wonderful women’s fiction featuring adoption, addiction, and forgiveness. Congratulations to BJ and please check out The Greatest Sacrifice.

—Julie Arduini

Stevie is a young woman trying to come to terms with giving her baby up for adoption after being raped as a teenager. She numbs her pain with alcohol and a quick marriage. Two children follow, but the marriage is abusive, leaving Stevie a weary single mother.

After years of infertility, Annie and Joe believe their lives are complete when they adopt Zoey, a beautiful, blonde, blue-eyed girl. Their perfect family unit isn’t quite as it seems when Zoey is colicky and Annie gives all her attention to their daughter. Joe, feeling neglected, is unfaithful. Annie refuses to forgive him, ending their marriage in divorce.

Will Zoey be the catalyst to heal Stevie, Annie, and Joe’s hearts?
