Julie’s Review:

I have a heart for teens and a hunger for His Word. I went into THE TEXT thinking of my daughter, who is that age, as well as the young people I mentor in our youth group. I love that this Bible includes devotions and an acronym that will help them fall in love with His Word.

Here are some key features:

-Bible for students that doesn’t talk down to them and teaches who God is,
how to engage with Scripture, and how to have a personal relationship with
him.
-Ideal for teens, young adults, new believers, and anyone who doesn’t feel confident
engaging Scripture on their own.
•-Accessible new Scripture Engagement Method (TEXT) that connects Scripture
to all of life.

What surprised me was for a Bible geared toward young people and a TEXT acronym, I thought there would be some interactive content for readers. For example, in 2020 i reviewed the Life Essentials Study Bible and they included devotions with a QR code. You download the app, scan the code, and it takes you to a video with more on the topic from Pastor Gene Getz. What’s ironic is I believe he is 90, and that Bible included technology I think teens are drawn to and looking for.

Other than that, my daughter noted she is looking to take it from me and said it looked easy to read. I do recommend THE TEXT because of the features. I’m just personally disappointed they aren’t interactive.

GIVEAWAY: 1 (one) copy of the TEXT Bible (Hardcover) will be sent to one US winner. Leave a comment below on why you’d like to win this Bible by JANUARY 16, 6pm, Eastern. Random winner selected via Wheel of Names.
