Thankful: David Thankful for Writers Who Change, Inspire, and Enable Us to Remember Whose We Are

A few years ago I read about a man who said he had been walking in a hall which connect the terminal to gates. He did not specify which airport. He reported walking by a woman seated in a wheel chair, momentarily paused. As he walked by her and attendant he heard her exclaim,  as she looked at something in the window, “Good work, God!”

He turned around. He saw a sunset, glowing colors above and surrounding a mountain. He resumed his journey toward his gate, smiling, greeting strangers as if they were no longer strangers.

He had been changed.  I am thankful for writers who change us, inspire us, enable us to become friends and remember who we are because of whose we are.

I am a retired Presbyterian minister, living in San Antonio, Texas. I have attempted to inspire through two novels, the second published earlier this year, “Heather Young,” still available at amazon.com.
