Marriage Monday—I Always Sleep with My Thin Pillow My Husband Calls a Sheet
Wishing you a wonderful day off if you’re able to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. day today.
It’s time for Marriage Monday. Join e-Mom and women from around the world, I suppose, as we blog twice a month about marriage. Today is a prompt for women only where you take the following prompts and answer as fast as you can. Let the other women get to know you. I look forward to reading YOUR answers!
I am….. feeling my age today. Thank you, Pilates.
I want…..the things on my mind to disappear with no effort on my part. I can dream, right?
I have…..so much editing to do it’s overwhelming.
I wish….. I had more time to read.
I hate….. that I have such sensitive hearing. So many sounds hurt my ears.
I miss….. my family.
I fear….. the health insurance process will never be a breakthrough in my life.
I feel….. down, but not out.
I hear….. things from 5 miles away, as well as every small sound you make.
I smell….. my grilled cheese sandwich.
I crave….. chocolate
I search….. for coffee places and their hours so I can plan a meeting.
I wonder….. who will be President.
I regret….. ever eating pizza at Pizza Hut. It does NOT agree with me.
I love….. my hair
I ache…..for people to live free in Christ.
I care….. when people trust me enough to share.
I always….. sleep with my thin pillow my husband calls a sheet.
I am not….. going to argue with a combative person.
I believe….. the days are over for living a lukewarm or dishonest life. You’re for Him or against Him.
I dance….. with my daughter for exercise.
I sing….. along to duets for a fun time.
I cry….. when I’m overtired and/or frustrated.
I don’t always….. believe God, even though I believe in Him.
I fight….. for the underdog.
I write….. surrendered.
I never…. eat brussel sprouts.
I listen….. to kids laugh and never grow tired of it.
I need….. words of affirmation. It’s my primary love language.
I am happy…..because I am blessed.
As someone who has suffered a hearing loss back when I was pregnant with our now 21 year old son, I am a tad envious that you can hear SO much! I’m sure the grass is always greener elsewhere! That’s funny about Pizza Hut, said 21 year old son is a Delivery Driver for them! Likewise I wish I had more time to read since it’s one of my favorite pastimes. I never read “fluff” anymore, time is too precious of a commodity for me to waste it on something that I learn nothing from! Give me a good biography/autobiography… Read more »
Too bad we can’t meet at one of those coffee shops and over-indulge on “our” favorites–coffee and chocolate! 😉 It’s so much fun to get to know everyone. Thanks for sharing about your heart and life, Julie. The only thing I miss, is seeing a picture of your “hair.” I bet it’s beautiful!!
I love what you said about “I don’t always…”…it is so true, there is a huge difference between believing God and believe in Him.
Nice to meet you 🙂
Stopping by from MM. I too wish for more time to read. Nice to meet you!
Enjoyed this.
Grinning and giggling through parts of your post. You can be quite funny, Julie! (Like trying to surrender chocolate.)
I also wonder who will be President. And I didn’t know you had such sensitive hearing. Ouch! My DH will not sleep with feather pillows because he says they’re too noisy. (He’s an audiophile like you.) Is that why you have a thin pillow?
Thanks for doing this little exercise! It’s been a great “get to know” you tool!
Hugs, e-Mom ღ
@eMom I have the thin pillow for comfort, I guess. But the sound sensitivity is tough. I rarely go to movies because of the wrappers, etc…we’re seeing my daughter is the same way. I joke that it makes me hear God faster than others and I believe there is a blessing to it, but, it’s hard too.

@eph2810 Yes, that’s definitely a struggle for me. I’m so grateful for His grace!

@bethsteff Well, I love my haircut, I should confess that I’m not styling like she did, and I loved the way she did it! I would love to meet at a coffee shop, wouldn’t that be fun!
@ConnieMcConnellHopkins I’d be happy to share my hearing with you. I have to wear ear plugs just to shut some of it out. I wish I could eat Pizza Hut, I like it, it hates me. 🙂
Smiling at so many things on your list and nodding with others (not believing whilst believing in; caring for those when they trust enough to share). Cannot imagine the frustration of hearing everything–I totally like to tune out the world. Thanks for sharing!
@mipasmonologue Ah, tune out the world. That sounds wonderful! I’m so glad you stopped by.
I wish I had more time to read too! There aren’t enough hours in the day for all the books on my shelves. Loved reading your list! Hope you’re having a great week! and that you’re able to get all of your editing done!
I enjoyed reading your list. I think I must have sensitive ears, too. Loud music especially bothers me. Thanks for sharing!
