Am I getting desperate trying to find things to be thankful about for NaBloPoMo? Maybe but this post is for anyone out there who needs some color in their life.
I struggle being thankful in November in NE Ohio. It's stastically a valley known for cloud cover. Seattle gets the bad rep, but it's pretty cloudy here. November is particularly cloudy.
When we moved here our living room was painted gray. I didn't think much of it until winter. The gray walls, the somber skies, the howling winds. Day after day, week after week, it really got to me. Add hormonal imbalance and depression and wow, November and January were months I'd dread long before they actually showed up.
This year we finally painted the gray walls yellow. It's made all the difference so far. It's been very cloudy lately and although I'm tired, I'm not feeling like Eyore. The walls lighten my mood and my heart. I'm VERY thankful for that.
If weather gets you down, what is a way you cope?
